Reporting to the Supervisor, Production Revenue Accounting, and based in our Calgary head office, this position is an integral part of the Corporate Accounting Department, whose primary responsibility is to provide production accounting expertise.

Job functions will involve:

  • Completion of Production Accounting for several oil and gas operated and non-operated properties
  • Production volume verification, completion of pipeline splits, revenue and royalty accounting, and government reporting
  • Submission of APMC Trucking Rebates
  • EPAP and PAD analysis and correction
  • Completion of amendments and rework projects
  • Booking of journal entries associated with the assigned properties
  • Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable
  • Coding of allocation-based trucking / processing costs
  • Revenue analysis and booking for assigned properties
  • Completion of Ad-Hoc projects and PRA Team duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Production and Revenue Accounting Experience, with extensive exposure to oil and gas batteries, as well as swing gas allocations.
  • CAPPA Certificate is preferred.
  • Bachelor of Applied Business or Business Diploma is an asset (Business, Finance or Accounting)
  • Must have a clear understanding of Service Agreements and their administration
  • Preference will be given to candidates with PAS experience
  • QByte FM, CS Explorer, Avocet and Open Invoice experience is an asset.

FIELD INTEGRITY TECHNOLOGIST, GRANDE PRAIRIE

About this Opportunity

The Field Integrity Technologist is a member of the Integrity Management Team, whose mission is to promote an Integrity culture throughout the corporate operations such that all physical assets are designed, built, operated, and maintained safely and reliably.  

Reporting to the Manager, Integrity Engineering, the primary responsibility of this position is to work with operations to plan required inspections at shutdowns, to assist in the installation, repair, or replacement of equipment and work with Operations’ team on all required activities to support the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management (PEIM), Storage Tank Integrity Program (STIP) and Pipeline Integrity Management programs. This position is based in Grande Prairie, AB.

Job Functions Will Involve: 

  • Responsible for effective communication and implementation of the Company’s integrity management programs
  • Instill the integrity values in the design and construction process for new and modified systems by participating in/contributing to DBM, HAZOP and/or MOC processes, conducting contractor, shop and site inspections and auditing test and QC activities
  • Support ongoing efforts to assure the quality of asset data
  • Assist with the development, measurement and tracking of KPI’s for the integrity programs with the expectation to prevent incidents
  • Work with Operations and Maintenance Foremen to develop an annual budget for the integrity management programs including:
    • vessel inspections, servicing of PSVs and any specific monitoring/evaluation programs or surveys required
    • pipeline chemical programs, ILIs, other inspections, lines subject to Regulatory voluntary self-disclosure, high risk lines, etc.
    • repairs and alterations
    • corrective actions
  • Support field facility turnarounds via job scope definition, field inspection, and repairs
  • Work closely with the Project Engineers, Owner’s Inspectors, Operations, Maintenance and Third-Party Vendors to ensure that all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, etc. affecting the Paramount assets are planned, coordinated, and executed using the Paramount Resources Ltd. work order management system in accordance with the relevant Integrity Program
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings/training pertaining to the field (e.g., planning, ERP etc.) to provide Integrity related input and direction
  • Support the Chief Inspector’s activities at a field level, which could include the pressure equipment related incidents
  • Participate in regular Integrity and Foremen meetings to provide updates on ongoing activities
  • Participate in actions necessary to resolve any non-conformances (NCRs) and deficiencies as defined in the PEIM program
  • Support activities during Regulatory audits and subsequent actions to ensure continual compliance
  • Participate in the approved vendor audits performed as per the Vendor Audit Plan
  • Support Integrity Program continual improvement initiatives
  • Provide the support to Owner’s Inspector or assume a role of Owner’s Inspector on capital piping projects to ensure the following are conducted in accordance with Paramount Technical Specifications and Procedures:
    • hydrostatic testing of pressure piping or tubing,
    • any other witness or inspection points, as instructed by a Paramount-approved Owner’s Inspector
  • As instructed by Paramount’s Senior Integrity Technologists, verify the condition of surplus equipment prior to its purchase or transfer from another Paramount location
  • Plan and execute planned and unplanned ILI inspections. Instruct in-line inspection contractors as to Paramount procedures and requirements
  • Complete installation inspection of risers and pigging facilities
  • Hold pipeline compliance review meetings with area leadership
  • Work with material, chemical and service providers to implement and modify functionally appropriate integrity and corrosion management programs
  • Ensure the chemical vendor sampling is done

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related industry experience
  • Post-secondary technologist diploma or equivalent
  • A basic understanding of pressure vessel and piping corrosion and operational factors
  • Basic knowledge of the ASME, ABSA, and CSA standard, as applicable to industry
  • Understands the relationship between quality and integrity, and safety and reliability of operations
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

The Production Foreman will supervise the Operations team, providing leadership and direct mentorship to the Field Operations Team in the Grande Prairie area. This position will report to the Grande Prairie Regional Manager and will provide supervision to a growing field team.

The successful candidate will work on a 9/80 schedule (Monday-Friday, with every second Friday off).

Job functions will involve: 

  • Provide direct day to day supervision of personnel to ensure that business requirements and environmental, health & safety objectives/standards are met
  • Ability to keep safety in mind at all times, as well as guide or assist operations staff with identifying and mitigating hazards in order to ensure that projects or day to day operations are being carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
  • Consult with all Regional team members as necessary, using independent judgment to determine courses of action

FIELD OPERATOR LEAD – KAYBOB CENTRAL

Reporting to the Production Foreman, the Field Operator Lead will place a high priority on health, safety and environment. The chosen candidate will work independently, exercise judgement in the selection of work methods and provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary work team. This position requires a full, in-depth knowledge of production facilities, including sweet and sour gas fields, sour oilfield with field batteries and Trucking Terminals, waterflood, and field optimization. The chosen candidate will need to reside and work in the Fox Creek area.   

Job functions will involve:

SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER - CONTRACT

About this Opportunity:

This contract position reports to the Manager, Project Engineering in the Engineering Department. The Senior Project Engineer’s primary responsibility is to work with the Area Asset Teams, the Engineering Department Teams, Operations and other stakeholders in the development and execution of facilities and pipeline projects. This includes the design and construction of greenfield and brownfield production facilities, gas / liquid processing plants and pipelines.

This role is based in Calgary and requires spending time in the field during the execution, commissioning and start-up of the facilities and pipelines.

This is a 6-month contract position, with the potential of extension or to become a full-time staff position.

Job functions will involve but not limited to:

  • Developing and executing projects with the stage-gate project management methodology and processes and be responsible for the entire project development and execution life cycle
  • Working with Area Asset Teams, Operations, Production Engineering and other stakeholders in developing and scoping of projects
  • Manage external engineering companies to develop project designs and engineering drawings
  • Develop schedules, risk registers and cost estimates for economic evaluations and AFEs
  • Lead Front End Engineering and Design for expansion of major facilities and lead the development of pre-FEED packages
  • Develop DBMs and coordinate HAZOPs or What-ifs, design reviews, and 3D model reviews
  • Lead Change Management process throughout project life cycle and lead the discussions with internal and external stakeholders to document the technical and commercial changes
  • Closely work with the Supply Chain Management team for the procurement of equipment and materials and securing the required services. This may include the development of strategies to secure material and services for the capital programs
  • Manage field supervision and construction activities, including providing on-site support as required
  • Lead the commissioning and start up activities with construction, engineering and operations teams and ensure to have all the outstanding action items get timely completed post start up
  • Ensure timely and accurate tracking of project KPIs (cost, schedule, risk, quality etc.) on all active projects
  • Regularly report the status, cost and schedule of projects
  • Lead PSSR, TCCC and project close out process with key stakeholders
  • Be the champion in promoting and communicating the cost effective and safe execution of the projects

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Eng. designation with a minimum of 10 years of oil and gas facility design and construction experience
  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Extensive experience in the design, construction, and operation of multi-well production facilities, compressor stations, gas/liquid processing plants, and pipelines. Working experience in upstream environment would be an asset
  • Current working knowledge of energy and environmental regulatory requirements as they relate to facility and pipeline construction projects
  • Project management experience is required and PMP designation would be an asset
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to facilitate the discussions to come up with practical solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multi-discipline group on multiple initiatives
  • Strong computer skills including MS Project and knowledge of Project Control tools would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of Maximo, OpenInvoice, SiteView, Qbyte, AFE navigator would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of codes and standards related to facilities and pipelines would be an asset
  • Familiarity with CAD programs, 3-D Model programs and process modeling programs would be an asset
